LEAVE THE LIGHT ON FOUNDATION INC.

Mom was diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm and we were told she needed surgery before her aorta ruptured. The surgery had some complications but she made it through only to suffer from a massive stroke while attempting to recover.

Like many of you, I was suddenly thrown into the role of a family caregiver which meant sleeping in hospital waiting rooms, meeting with doctors, specialists, respiratory therapists and constantly checking for pressure wounds. Most importantly, I was there to simply brush mom's hair, hold her hand and give her lots of love.

Since December 2010, LTLOF workshops and coaching sessions have helped hundreds of family caregivers understand medical terms, patient rights, relaxation techniques and how to find the resources to pay their bills.  We have also always found a way to celebrate and pamper you through our special events simply because you deserve to be recognized for all you do for your loved ones!

When you watch a loved one suffer from an illness or any type of misfortune,  we know you do whatever is necessary to help them. You are their "light" and you always "Leave The Light On" for the ones you love!
